Marketing and
promotion of food and food products by visual communications
David Elkington-Cole, Food
Photographer
A passion for photography and an
opportunity to study at The Kodak School of Photography gave the key to
freelance throughout the UK and Western Europe.
Armed with the taste of fresh food and wine gained from travelling, combined
with a restaurant partnership in London showed the path to tread.
For more than forty years my experiences have been at the cutting edge with new
ideas solving marketing problems within the food industry.
Among the firsts. The photographing of raw meat for butcher's brochures. Full
coloured images printed on shop window blinds and full coloured images printed
on shop awnings helping retailers to maintain their customer base.
My images are used in countless magazines, recipe cards, books , point of sale,
packaging, labels, brochures, window stickers, posters, exhibitions and on sides
of vehicles.
If you are selling food either raw or cooked, put your product into the market
place with visual boldness and clinical clarity.
Remember your customers are out there buying with their eyes, if they do not
see, you do not sell.
