Voelcker Science, based in Acton, London W3, has been associated with The Food Club since its inception. In 1998, on the retirement of Robin Voelcker, Managing Director and majority shareholder, the firm was bought by the Eclipse Scientific Group.

Eclipse is a major force in contract food testing on the UK and offers the full scope of its services to food businesses in West London. As well as the common tests, both microbiological and chemical, analyses such as pesticide and veterinary residues, vitamins, amino acids and mycotoxins can be undertaken. These are handled at the Group's Head Office laboratory, but sample collections are available.

Eclipse is now part of Inspicio plc, an international testing organisation with capabilities in environmental and other non food areas.
